I bought the book.
I also scanned the inner cover for Sono Saki no Fuukei by Fujiwara Kaoru. Shame that I have to wrap it up with plastic so I can’t see it anymore.
Scanned the extra paper that came along with NightS. ( it’s a piece from Kanjou Spectrum). It’s A4, so I’m not sure if I want to leave it in the book or place it in a file hahaa…
I’m also pretty sure someone else would translate this sooner or later so blergh I didn’t bother cleaning the scan
New bookssss. Got them for my birthday (actually belated, belated birthday because I took forever to decide what to buy -_-) Anyway, a few notes you may want to know if you’re planning to buy:
Anyway, go get the books. They’re all great reads.
A piece of manga history is soon to be replaced.
Shogakukan’s HQ Building, which has been “home” to many of Japan’s most popular manga titles (which in turn have been made into classic anime) for 46 years, is set to be demolished & rebuilt into a shiny new HQ building soon. And to celebrate this, some of Shogakukan’s manga artists were given permission to go nuts and draw ANYWHERE and EVERYWHERE all over Shogakukan’s 1st Floor Lobby. They held an event for only 2 days called “Graffiti Tournament! Thank you Shogakukan building!”, where fans could buy tickets and come see these drawings before the building gets torn down.
It’s an amazing display, featuring art by Naoki Urusawa (Yawara!, 20th Century Boys, Monster, Pluto), Fujiko Fujio A (Ninja Hattori-Kun, Manga Michi) Masami Yuki (Birdy the Mighty, Patlabor), Mine Yoshizaki (Versus Knight Lamune & 40 Fire, Sgt. Frog), Kazuhiko Shimamoto (Kamen Rider ZO, SkullMan), Rumiko Takahashi (Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, Ranma 1/2), Riyoko Ikeda (The Rose of Versailles, Oniisama E), Shinohara Chie (Red River), Shigeru Mizuki (Gegege no Kitaro) and many others. See if you can spot their art and messages! You can see even more photos of art here.
For new followers,
Hello :] I usually post manga or game related things here. Sometimes my game screen caps.
Cover of 色彩王国3 (Colour Kingdom 3), and Kojima Ayami’s work process.
So beautiful I want to cry
Santa Lilio Sangre art book by Kojima Ayami
Some process / close up shots of her work.
Go get the book if you’re a fan of her works, the book has almost all her illustrations (200 pages in total). If I’m not mistaken, a few pieces that are missing in the book are her illustrations for novels and some pages from the Castlevania booklet (the black and white manga). Other than that, this hard cover art book is awesome and surprisingly cheap for its content.
Now, if only there’s a way to get her to sign my book….
